Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sidney Dennison started the match with the kick off. When Loyd Byrne fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kurczaki Bradford FC's protests and gave Loyd Byrne a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Kurczaki Bradford FC's Loyd Byrne got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Malcolm Durkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Dennison, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Loyd Byrne notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Canvey Island's Justin Fry. Justin Fry was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 15 minutes into the game, Canvey Island's Spike Hall nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Malcolm Durkin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After having played for 21 minutes, Sidney Dennison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canvey Island's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidney Dennison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Spike Hall sped through Kurczaki Bradford FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Malcolm Durkin. After having played for 33 minutes, Sidney Dennison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canvey Island's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidney Dennison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Kev Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kurczaki Bradford FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canvey Island the free kick. Malcolm Durkin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Malcolm Durkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Dennison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Spike Hall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kurczaki Bradford FC's Malcolm Durkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Dennison in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Loyd Byrne to make the kick off. If Sidney Dennison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malcolm Durkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Dennison in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Canvey Island's Spike Hall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Malcolm Durkin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Kurczaki Bradford FC's zone, Sidney Dennison stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Malcolm Durkin came out of the goal and Sidney Dennison tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 67 played minutes, Canvey Island's Andre Forbes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Malcolm Durkin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Canvey Island reached it. Loyd Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Justin Fry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Spike Hall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sidney Dennison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th match minute, Kurczaki Bradford FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kev Santos to maneuver through the defense. Canvey Island's Ivan Hotte couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kurczaki Bradford FC. Sidney Dennison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Durkin having to interfere. Sidney Dennison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Malcolm Durkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Sidney Dennison had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Malcolm Durkin. Kurczaki Bradford FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidney Dennison was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Anthony Byrom charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anthony Byrom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Andre Forbes hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Sidney Dennison kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidney Dennison in the 96th minute of play forced Kurczaki Bradford FC's goalkeeper Malcolm Durkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Canvey Island were the better team. Canvey Island's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
