Ty Cusack was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 11th minute Ted Dudgeon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Moyse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ted Dudgeon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Moyse was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ted Dudgeon in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Moyse saved Hojen Rovers from getting behind. If Ricky Baird had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 23 minutes, Ricky Baird managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bowburn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricky Baird was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ted Dudgeon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Moyse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ted Dudgeon's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Samuel Moyse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ted Dudgeon in the 35th minute of play. When Bowburn's Ted Dudgeon in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hojen Rovers's goalie prevented a goal. Ted Dudgeon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Ted Dudgeon put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Samuel Moyse. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Devon Cheeseman was the one to do the kick off. Bowburn's Ty Cusack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Devon Cheeseman in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th play minute Ricky Baird came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Samuel Moyse. 1-2. Ricky Baird could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Samuel Moyse made a huge save. Ricky Baird received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Samuel Moyse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hojen Rovers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Ted Dudgeon scored to the left of an out of position Samuel Moyse, making the score, 1-3. If Devon Cheeseman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ted Dudgeon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Samuel Moyse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Craig Bull hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Devon Cheeseman notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Bowburn's Ty Cusack. Ty Cusack was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ted Dudgeon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Moyse having to interfere. Bowburn's Ricky Baird got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Alan Mansfield was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bowburn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hojen Rovers the free kick. In the 95th match minute, Bowburn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Mansfield to maneuver through the defense.
