Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Baltic Pearl FC's Tommy Jennings started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Werrington booed when Baltic Pearl FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Fish didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stewart Giles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Tonkin in the 3rd minute of play. Stewart Giles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Tonkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Jennings sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vic Rundell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vic Rundell hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Stewart Giles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timothy Nelthorpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 25th minute of the match Werrington got a corner. Baltic Pearl FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Callum Tomkins ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Werrington's Callum Tomkins to fire away a dangerous shot which Stewart Giles despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Stewart Giles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timothy Nelthorpe in the 26th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Tyler Fearns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 33 minutes of play, Werrington's Ivan Tonkin made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stewart Giles was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 39th minute Tommy Jennings shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathanial Cartwright saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vic Rundell in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nathanial Cartwright prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Werrington's Nathanial Cartwright played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Jennings in the 42nd minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivan Tonkin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ivan Tonkin came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Werrington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Tonkin couldn't finish the play. In the 53rd minute, Craig Kyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Baltic Pearl FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Craig Kyle hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the game, one of Baltic Pearl FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Timothy Nelthorpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stewart Giles having to interfere. Stewart Giles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steve Nightingale in the 88th minute. Stewart Giles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Tonkin in the 92nd minute of play.
