Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) After a rather tough play, Pershore AFC's Brett Osbon got a free kick in the 6th minute. Ronnie Ferdinand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Short having to interfere. Alfie Phelps sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Verne Doughty made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alistair Martin in the 12th minute. A collision led to Ince AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Scott Stayton hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Alfie Phelps got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ronnie Ferdinand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Stuart Mason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Stuart Mason managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ince AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stuart Mason was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Short breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, Ronnie Ferdinand had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of John Short. Pershore AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronnie Ferdinand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Stuart Mason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronnie Ferdinand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Stuart Mason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronnie Ferdinand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Short having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Ronnie Ferdinand left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ince AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. A collision led to Pershore AFC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Brett Osbon hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stuart Mason to make the kick off. Stuart Mason could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but John Short made a huge save. Verne Doughty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfie Phelps in the 54th minute of the match. Ollie Armitstead hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 55 minutes in the game, Alfie Phelps dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Brett Osbon kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Ronnie Ferdinands short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got John Short to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ronnie Ferdinand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Short having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Pershore AFC's Alfie Phelps sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Verne Doughty narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Pershore AFC fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Pershore AFC's Alistair Martin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Stuart Mason came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Ince AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stuart Mason couldn't finish the play. Stuart Mason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Ince AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pershore AFC throughout the match.
