Spectators: 7563 (Terracing: 5673, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 151) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Keiran Phimister took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Lennie Foley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dragons FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jonathon Brighton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Al Burton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dragons FC's Jonathon Brighton got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12thth minute of the game Lennie Foley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Wild Forest's Al Burton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lennie Foley in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Al Burton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 22 minutes into the match, The Wild Forest's goal looked a bit too open when Lennie Foley came free, but Al Burton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jake Lundy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Dragons FC's goalkeeper Archie Unsworth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Jobling. Lennie Foley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Robbie Cartwright managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dragons FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robbie Cartwright was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Al Burton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lennie Foley was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, The Wild Forest's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lennie Foley fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Keiran Phimister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Archie Unsworth having to interfere. The Wild Forest's Al Burton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennie Foley in the 57th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of The Wild Forest:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dragons FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 60 minutes, Dragons FC's Lennie Foley got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Al Burton. Lennie Foley had several of the The Wild Forest's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 66 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Al Burton as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, The Wild Forest's Peter Devine got a free kick in the 71st minute. After a defensive mix-up in The Wild Forest's zone, Lennie Foley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Al Burton came out of the goal and Lennie Foley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lennie Foleys short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Al Burton to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 79 in the game by Lennie Foley from a close distance when the talented Al Burton managed to make a qualified save. The Wild Forest's players were relieved. The supporters of Dragons FC booed when The Wild Forest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Fry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lennie Foley's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Al Burton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Keiran Phimister kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Lennie Foley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Al Burton having to interfere. Jonathon Brighton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Al Burton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Hugh Callery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute Jake Lundy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Al Burton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tyrone Barone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Al Burton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennie Foley in the 98th minute of play. When the match was over Dragons FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than The Wild Forest throughout the match.
