But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phil Sadler couldn't finish the play. Ivor Wild's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zackary Byfield firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of West Bromwich Albion booed when Kree City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Moțoc didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in West Bromwich Albion's zone, Phil Sadler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zackary Byfield came out of the goal and Phil Sadler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jez Steel charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jez Steel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd match minute, West Bromwich Albion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jez Steel to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jez Steel in the 36th minute of play forced Kree City FC's goalkeeper Connor Pearson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Connor Pearson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from William Blackwater went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After recieving a nice pass, West Bromwich Albion's Denzil Little tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Kree City FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. West Bromwich Albion were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. William Blackwater was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Kree City FC's Connor Pearson got control of the ball when William Carter tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when William Carter got free with Connor Pearson in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zackary Byfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Locke in the 55th minute of play. Connor Pearson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jez Steel in the 62nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Phil Sadler in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zackary Byfield saved West Bromwich Albion from getting behind. In the 65th minute, Leo Routledge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Phil Sadler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Zackary Byfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. West Bromwich Albion's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivor Wild was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.
