Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Len Lister took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Dipton's Trevor Avery got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 8th minute, Tristram Talbot made a precise shot to the right of Colin Styles. arsernal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Tristram Talbot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dipton's supporters rose to their feet, but Tristram Talbot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Colin Styles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in arsernal's zone, Len Lister stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Colin Styles came out of the goal and Len Lister tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebastien Boatman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Brookman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When arsernal's Dion Almond in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dipton's goalie prevented a goal. Ben Brookman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Sebastien Boatman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Len Lister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Dion Almond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dion Almond to make the kick off. When Dion Almond came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the arsernal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dion Almond couldn't finish the play. Ritchie Heath hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. A very good chance. arsernal's Colin Styles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Len Lister in the 59th minute of play. When Isaac Frampton fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored arsernal's protests and gave Isaac Frampton a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, arsernal's Isaac Frampton got a free kick in the 60th minute. Karl Dingle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Sebastien Boatman made a huge save. If Ben Brookman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ben Brookman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastien Boatman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Dion Almond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastien Boatman having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Tristram Talbot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dion Almond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl Dingle kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Jez Joynes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 86th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Dion Almond struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Sebastien Boatman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for arsernal. With his leg Sebastien Boatman managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when arsernal's Ben Brookman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Dipton's zone, Dion Almond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastien Boatman came out of the goal and Dion Almond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the arsernal players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
