Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rufus Clarkson kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Stocksbridge FC's Ethan Oldham got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After 5 minutes of play, Swanmore's Mike Ackland made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tyler Le Saux was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th minute, Rufus Clarkson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tyler Le Saux, passed just outside the right post. Eric Matthews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyler Le Saux having to interfere. Eric Matthews's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tyler Le Saux read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Eric Matthews received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tyler Le Saux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rufus Clarksons short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Tyler Le Saux to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Stocksbridge FC's Tyler Le Saux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rufus Clarkson in the 22nd minute of play. Tyrone Bramble took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brett Reynolds, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 played minutes Swanmore got a freekick which was hit by Damien Myers. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Brett Reynolds managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stocksbridge FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brett Reynolds was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tyrone Bramble breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lawrence Sutton might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tyrone Bramble. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lawrence Sutton ran back to his position shaking his head. Eric Matthews came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tyler Le Saux could save by the left post. In the 41st minute Lawrence Sutton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrone Bramble saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lawrence Sutton to make the kick off. If Brett Reynolds had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Eric Matthews got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Swanmore's Tyrone Bramble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lawrence Sutton in the 57th minute of play. Eric Matthews recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Stocksbridge FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Matthews came free, but Tyler Le Saux reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brett Reynolds received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Tyrone Bramble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 80 minutes, Eric Matthews managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Swanmore's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Matthews was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tyler Le Saux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Matthews in the 82nd minute of play. Mike Ackland charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mike Ackland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Swanmore getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Mike Ackland hit a great ball. Stocksbridge FC's Shane Potts shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 85th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Tyrone Bramble but with some difficulty. The corner led Stocksbridge FC's Shane Potts to fire away a dangerous shot which Tyrone Bramble despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 88 played minutes, Stocksbridge FC's Ethan Oldham shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tyrone Bramble came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stocksbridge FC reached it. Eric Matthews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
