The referee ignored carrick red star's protests and gave Teddy Gibson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute, Teddy Gibson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charlie Crooks scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Colin Styles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 16th minute Dion Almond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Bolton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Isaac Frampton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. arsernal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave carrick red star the free kick. The supporters of carrick red star booed when arsernal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Frampton didn't get a good kick on the ball. carrick red star's Liam Bolton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save carrick red star from getting a goal against them. Dion Almond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liam Bolton having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, carrick red star was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teddy Gibson to maneuver through the defense. Charlie Crooks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Colin Styles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Ben Brookman scored 1-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Liam Bolton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Ben Brookman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but carrick red star's Liam Bolton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. arsernal's Dion Almond got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Colin Styles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlie Crooks in the 62nd minute of the match. Timothy Brent could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Colin Styles made a huge save. Ben Brookman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dion Almond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liam Bolton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Brookman in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th minute Dion Almond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Bolton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, carrick red star's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Brookman came free, but Liam Bolton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dion Almond in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Liam Bolton saved carrick red star from getting behind. 85 minutes into the match, arsernal's goalkeeper Colin Styles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timothy Brent. Terry Santos hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. If Orson Hyde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. carrick red star's Liam Bolton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dion Almond in the 93rd minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
