The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Martyn Eglington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Mansell, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Tony Folan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Taggart in the 15th minute of the match. Tony Folan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wesley Taggart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Mansell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martyn Eglington having to interfere. Drew Hanley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Tony Folan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martyn Eglington was a little too slow when Daniel Mansell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. If Daniel Mansell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martyn Eglington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Mansell in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Gerry Clarke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Daniel Mansell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martyn Eglington was a little too slow when Daniel Mansell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wesley Taggart stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Huntingdon's Martyn Eglington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Laverack in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Pretorians booed when Huntingdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Millman didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Mansell in the 62nd minute of play forced Huntingdon's goalkeeper Martyn Eglington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Huntingdon booed when Pretorians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim Jepson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Huntingdon's Martyn Eglington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Laverack in the 68th minute of play. When Jason Laverack came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Pretorians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jason Laverack couldn't finish the play. Jason Laverack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martyn Eglington having to interfere. If Daniel Mansell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pretorians's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
