After some careless play in the Stalowe United defense, Wesley Taggart kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aaron Lawless. The Stalowe United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aaron Lawless should have stopped the shot. Aaron Lawless made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Taggart in the 14th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Ritchie Winstanley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stalowe United and the Huntingdon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ritchie Winstanley hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Aaron Lawless stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wesley Taggart's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After 20 played minutes Stalowe United got a freekick which was hit by Calum Mullen. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Craig Rundle in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martyn Eglington saved Huntingdon from getting behind. 27 minutes into the match, Stalowe United's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Taggart came free, but Aaron Lawless reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Craig Rundle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martyn Eglington was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Wesley Taggart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wesley Taggart stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aaron Lawless came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Huntingdon's Drew Hanley. But to his dismay, Drew Hanley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 57th match minute, Huntingdon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerry Clarke to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Lawless took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wesley Taggart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st match minute, Stalowe United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ritchie Winstanley to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Huntingdon booed when Stalowe United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shane Davison didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Martyn Eglington managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Stalowe United's Craig Rundle fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Craig Rundle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Martyn Eglington made a huge save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Josh Newman put in a rough tackle. 84 minutes into the game, one of Huntingdon:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Martyn Eglington had in the 87thth minute some difficulties stopping Martyn Rice's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 87th minute, Martyn Rice made a precise shot to the right of Martyn Eglington. Huntingdon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. After a rather tough play, Stalowe United's Ivan Wrigley got a free kick in the 91st minute. Deon Boothroyd took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aaron Lawless. Stalowe United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Huntingdon's Martyn Eglington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Craig Rundle in the 97th minute of play. When the match was over Stalowe United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Huntingdon throughout the match.
