After a defensive mix-up in WARTA ZIELONI POZNAŃ's zone, Ashley Dobson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barry Buckle came out of the goal and Ashley Dobson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marc Harkness showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Beale in the 28th minute of the match. Kirk Tomlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kirk Tomlin did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Barry Buckle 39 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Beale in the 46th minute of play forced Hardly Athletic's goalkeeper Marc Harkness to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marc Harkness made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendon Elding in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kirk Tomlin made a kick off. Barry Buckle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ashley Dobson in the 51st minute of play. Barry Buckle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kirk Tomlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 played minutes WARTA ZIELONI POZNAŃ got a freekick which was hit by Sonny Bell. WARTA ZIELONI POZNAŃ's Barry Buckle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kirk Tomlin in the 62nd minute of play. Ashley Dobson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Brendon Elding took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Marc Harkness to make any attempt to save it. Hardly Athletic's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
