Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kevin Long took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Annscroft FC's Eddy Nicoll in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rawdon FC's goalie prevented a goal. Reggie Whalley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Reggie Whalley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Daryl Crane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute Kevin Long shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Lawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eddy Nicoll in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daryl Crane prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Reggie Whalley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Annscroft FC fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Annscroft FC's Eddy Nicoll looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Annscroft FC booed when Rawdon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garry Crowther didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eddy Nicoll was the one to do the kick off. Daryl Crane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reggie Whalley in the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes in the game, Kevin Long fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Wesley Lawson having to interfere. Reggie Whalley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daryl Crane having to interfere. Eddy Nicoll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Daryl Crane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Rawdon FC's Kevin Long slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wesley Lawson. That made the score 1-2 after 67 minutes of play. Daryl Crane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reggie Whalley, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The Annscroft FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rawdon FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Rawdon FC.
