After a defensive mix-up in Rawdon FC's zone, Vincent Beale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daryl Crane came out of the goal and Vincent Beale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Vinnie Tisdale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rawdon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinnie Tisdale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vinnie Tisdale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barry Buckle having to interfere. When Kevin Long came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Rawdon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Long couldn't finish the play. Kevin Long sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vincent Beale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Daryl Crane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daryl Crane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Beale in the 30th minute of the match. Brendon Elding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Daryl Crane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vincent Beale to strike the kick off in the second half. Garry Crowther hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Brendon Elding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Daryl Crane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Kevin Long took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Barry Buckle to make any attempt to save it. Barry Buckle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Long in the 76th minute of play. Daryl Crane made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. If Brendon Elding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rawdon FC's Kieran Devine got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Kieran Devine off the ground. After 93 played minutes Rawdon FC got a freekick which was hit by Kieran Devine. 98 minutes into the game, Garry Crowther cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Barry Buckle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 104th minute, Stefan Jenkins reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Barry Buckle. The goal made the score 2-3. Rawdon FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
