Sheerness United's David Carpenter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rueben Young in the 38th minute of play. The goalkeeper, David Carpenter, was totally fooled by Ilford Town Fc's Phil Mowlem, who 83 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Zack Gibson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Carpenter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rueben Young in the 98th minute of the match. David Carpenter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rueben Young, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Sheerness United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ilford Town Fc were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
