Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dylon Kitchen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chelsea FC's goalkeeper John Bush, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Huey Elvins's late challenge caught a Bristol United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Huey Elvins helped the player get up and apologised. After 4 played minutes Chelsea FC got a freekick which was hit by Huey Elvins. Lewis Dixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Lewis Dixon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Lewis Dixon got free in front of the goal in the 13th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. John Bush was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Lewis Dixon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but John Bush made a huge save. John Bush took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ged Shephard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lee Le Tissier fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelsea FC's protests and gave Lee Le Tissier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, Chelsea FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lee Le Tissier to maneuver through the defense. John Bush showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fraser Westlake, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 28 played minutes Bristol United got a freekick which was hit by Fred Sheridan. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bristol United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! In the 31st minute there was a penalty for Chelsea FC. Nathan Washington stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Glenn Hassell. 0-1. Bristol United's Lewis Dixon got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Chelsea FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bristol United:s goal. The goalkeeper, John Bush, was totally fooled by Bristol United's Fraser Westlake, who 40 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 44th minute, Chelsea FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lewis Dixon fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ged Shephard to make the kick off. Chelsea FC's John Bush played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ged Shephard in the 53rd minute of play. John Bush showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ged Shephard, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Ged Shephard notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Chelsea FC's John Bush. John Bush was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lewis Dixon in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg John Bush saved Chelsea FC from getting behind. Ged Shephard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bristol United's Ged Shephard got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ged Shephard came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Bristol United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ged Shephard couldn't finish the play. Lewis Dixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ged Shephard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lewis Dixon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Bush having to interfere. If Ged Shephard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chelsea FC's John Bush played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ged Shephard in the 94th minute of play. There was no doubt that Bristol United were the better team. Bristol United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
