Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gav Plumber made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Manchester City's Noel Harland got a free kick in the 3rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mike Searle in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martyn Fleetwood saved Ironville United from getting behind. When Chip Carey came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Manchester City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chip Carey couldn't finish the play. In the 14th match minute, Ironville United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Dickner to maneuver through the defense. If Gav Plumber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lloyd Alsford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martyn Fleetwood having to interfere. When Ironville United's Nigel Church in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manchester City's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester City's zone, Gav Plumber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristian Cain came out of the goal and Gav Plumber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martyn Fleetwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Searle, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A collision led to Ironville United getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Patrick Camfield hit a great ball. Felix Dickner hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Lloyd Alsford who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Martyn Fleetwood when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 36th minute Gav Plumber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Cain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nigel Church had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chip Carey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kristian Cain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gav Plumber, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Brynn Dickens kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Chip Carey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martyn Fleetwood having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Chip Carey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martyn Fleetwood was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Chip Carey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Martyn Fleetwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Felix Dickner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ironville United! The referee gave Manchester City a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Keanu Pickford, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ironville United's Martyn Fleetwood. 1-0. Kristian Cain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gav Plumber in the 68th minute of play. Manchester City's Kristian Cain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodney Searle in the 78th minute of play. After 80 minutes Manchester City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jamie Hylton who took care of the corner kick. Ironville United's Gav Plumber pulled a muscle in his back after 86 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ralf Clark during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 86 minutes into the game, one of Manchester City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Nigel Church took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kristian Cain. Kristian Cain dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Martyn Fleetwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lloyd Alsford, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Lloyd Alsford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
