The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dominik Day stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nath Gildea in the 53rd minute of play forced Wallington's goalkeeper Shaun Windsor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shaun Windsor came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Blackpool United's Charlie Frost. But to his dismay, Charlie Frost quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Giles Dalby kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Tod Garner struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Shaun Windsor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blackpool United. Dominik Day scored 1-5 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Micheal Hurst, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st minute of the match, Nath Gildea tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Shaun Windsor saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 73 minutes into the match, Wallington's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Theobald came free, but Shaun Windsor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Micheal Hurst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glyn Scorfield in the 79th minute of the match. Ross Swallow kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The supporters of Blackpool United booed when Wallington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giles Dalby didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blackpool United's Philip Askew got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Micheal Hurst didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dominik Day went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. In the 99th minute, Tod Garner had to leave the field with a concussion. Joe Stamer hit a great freekick 101 minutes into the match. Blackpool United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
