Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Seaton AFC's Abraham Rothery started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Nigel Church got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jamie Hylton hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ironville United getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jamie Hylton hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gav Plumber in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harry Maclean saved Seaton AFC from getting behind. The supporters of Ironville United booed when Seaton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frazer Barat didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Gav Plumber's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harry Maclean was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Matt Hodgson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Martyn Fleetwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ironville United's zone, Abraham Rothery stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martyn Fleetwood came out of the goal and Abraham Rothery tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 25 played minutes, Seaton AFC's Olly Rundle shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Martyn Fleetwood came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Seaton AFC reached it. Harry Maclean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nigel Church in the 28th minute of the match. Gav Plumber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harry Maclean read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tony Bassett during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tony Bassett hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Nigel Church sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Harry Maclean stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gav Plumber's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute, Nigel Church got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Gav Plumber cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Harry Maclean was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Gav Plumber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gav Plumber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Seaton AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ironville United were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gav Plumber to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gav Plumber during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59thth minute of the game Gav Plumber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seaton AFC's Harry Maclean was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Ironville United's Gav Plumber in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Seaton AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 60 minutes into the game, Rufus Clarke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The audience was convinced that Gav Plumber's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harry Maclean was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. A collision led to Seaton AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jack Mason hit a great ball. Seaton AFC's Harry Maclean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gav Plumber in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gav Plumber in the 72nd minute of play forced Seaton AFC's goalkeeper Harry Maclean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute Gav Plumber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Maclean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Matt Hodgson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martyn Fleetwood. Ironville United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matt Hodgson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Martyn Fleetwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Rothery, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Seaton AFC's goalkeeper Harry Maclean, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Gav Plumber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nigel Church blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harry Maclean having to make a save. If Nigel Church had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Frazer Barat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute Gav Plumber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Maclean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tony Bassett was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. Tony Bassett kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Despite being the better team, Ironville United failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
