After a defensive mix-up in Dayco Fc's zone, Benjamin Smith stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zak Porter came out of the goal and Benjamin Smith tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zak Porter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Paul Brookes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 39 minutes, John Paul Brookes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zoo fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Paul Brookes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Terry Black fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Smith to make the kick off. In the 66th minute, John Paul Brookes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Zak Porter, passed just outside the right post. When John Paul Brookes came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Zoo fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Paul Brookes couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Dayco Fc's Zak Porter got control of the ball when John Paul Brookes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dominic Houghton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richie Salmon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, John Paul Brookes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zak Porter. The goal made the score 1-2. Dominic Houghton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tris Baxter in the 91st minute of the match. Benjamin Smith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zak Porter having to interfere. Benjamin Smith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Zak Porter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Dayco Fc fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Zoo fc were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
