Matt Hodgson ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Abraham Rothery made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Dayco Fc's zone, Matt Hodgson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zak Porter came out of the goal and Matt Hodgson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Frazer Barat came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Seaton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frazer Barat couldn't finish the play. Tris Baxter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 81st match minute, Dayco Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martyn Fitzsymon to maneuver through the defense. Harry Maclean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richie Salmon in the 90th minute of the match. When Tris Baxter came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Dayco Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tris Baxter couldn't finish the play. Tris Baxter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Harry Maclean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Seaton AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Seaton AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
