Martyn Fleetwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nigel Church in the 32nd minute of play forced Wallington's goalkeeper Shaun Windsor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wallington were furious when Neil Coogan was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 55th minute, one of Wallington:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Wallington. When the match had been going on for 58 minutes, Ironville United's Jamie Hylton got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Shaun Windsor. Nigel Church came free with the goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Shaun Windsor could save by the left post. When Ross Swallow fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wallington's protests and gave Ross Swallow a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Ross Swallow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Wallington's Shaun Windsor got control of the ball when Nigel Church tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Gav Plumber took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Shaun Windsor to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Wallington defense, Felix Dickner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shaun Windsor. The Wallington fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shaun Windsor should have stopped the shot.
