Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Chip Carey started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. John Manson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chip Carey's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Chip Ealham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mike Searle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mike Searle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. John Manson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 20 minutes, Lloyd Alsford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lloyd Alsford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. John Manson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lloyd Alsford in the 21st minute of the match. After 22 played minutes South Ockendon got a freekick which was hit by Grant Woodhall. Thomas Lemerond's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kristian Cain firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Chip Carey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Manson came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester City's Lloyd Alsford. But to his dismay, Lloyd Alsford quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Chip Carey struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. John Manson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester City. After 43 played minutes South Ockendon got a freekick which was hit by Dominik Ainsworth.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chip Ealham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Dominik Ainsworth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kristian Cain was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Thomas Lemerond struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Kristian Cain didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for South Ockendon. In the 72nd minute, Chip Ealham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to South Ockendon getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Dominik Ainsworth hit a great ball. Keanu Pickford, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Thomas Lemerond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, South Ockendon's Dominik Ainsworth got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The Manchester City players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented South Ockendon from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
