Benjamin Smith's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Micheal Hurst read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, John Paul Brookes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Blackpool United getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Philip Askew hit a great ball. Benjamin Smith might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Micheal Hurst. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Smith ran back to his position shaking his head. Nath Gildea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Dominic Houghton made a huge save. A collision led to Zoo fc getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Antony Osbon hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Jon Bentham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, John Paul Brookes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zoo fc's supporters rose to their feet, but John Paul Brookes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Micheal Hurst breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benjamin Smith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nath Gildea to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Nath Gildea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominic Houghton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Jon Bentham got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Zoo fc's Dominic Houghton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blair Howarth in the 59th minute of play. Dominic Houghton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blair Howarth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Blackpool United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Zoo fc were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
