Spectators: 5141 (Terracing: 4007, Seating: 1022, VIP seats: 112) Callington's Trey Griggs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nicholas Beech received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Bruce Renwick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus Alcock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Derek Charles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nicholas Beech had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Alcock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Derek Charles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 20thth minute of the game Trey Griggs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fakenham's Bruce Renwick was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 23 minutes, Nicholas Beech made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Fakenham's Bruce Renwick tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 33 played minutes Callington got a freekick which was hit by Darryl Clark. Fakenham's Shane Tandy couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Callington. 38 minutes into the match, Callington's Nicholas Beech sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruce Renwick narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fakenham's Bruce Renwick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicholas Beech in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute Callington were awarded a corner. Kirk Hopton went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Kirk Hopton got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bruce Renwick quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Nicholas Beech fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruce Renwick having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Callington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicholas Beech was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruce Renwick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trey Griggs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute Calvin Robertson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derek Charles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Fakenham's goal looked a bit too open when Trey Griggs came free, but Bruce Renwick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 84 minutes, Trey Griggs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Callington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trey Griggs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Fakenham's zone, Nicholas Beech stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruce Renwick came out of the goal and Nicholas Beech tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trey Griggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruce Renwick having to interfere. The corner led Callington's Crispin Tetley to fire away a dangerous shot which Bruce Renwick despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nicholas Beech received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Bruce Renwick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Callington left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fakenham.
