After 3 played minutes Jerks United got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Beevers. Zanzibar FC's Tod Wilmott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ross Lagdon in the 6th minute of play. After having played for 10 minutes, Ross Lagdon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jerks United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ross Lagdon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ross Lagdon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Tod Wilmott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brigid Martyn made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Philip Welch sent off a good shot on target. After 29 minutes, Noel Housham mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zanzibar FC and the Jerks United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, one of Zanzibar FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zanzibar FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calvin Coburn during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 35 played minutes Jerks United got a freekick which was hit by Calvin Coburn. Philip Welch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Brigid Martyn made a huge save. In the 42nd minute Stuart Pollock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tod Wilmott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute Ross Lagdon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tod Wilmott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Pollock in the 47th minute of play forced Zanzibar FC's goalkeeper Tod Wilmott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Zanzibar FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jerks United were winning 0-1.

Ross Lagdon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stuart Pollock's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tod Wilmott firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 65th minute, Dion Burnham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Jerks United's Archie Gilchrist got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute, Tom Owen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jerks United's Brigid Martyn didn't even have to move. When Philip Welch came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Zanzibar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philip Welch couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, Zanzibar FC's goalkeeper Tod Wilmott had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stuart Pollock. Stuart Pollock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ross Lagdon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jerks United played a much better game than Zanzibar FC and deserved their victory. The Zanzibar FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
