After 4 played minutes Upwell got a freekick which was hit by Sebastien Horseman. Piers Floyd blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tod Wilmott having to make a save. In the 10thth minute of the game Keith McGrath who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zanzibar FC's Tod Wilmott was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Upwell's zone, Philip Welch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicky Addison came out of the goal and Philip Welch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keith McGrath sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Upwell's zone, Philip Welch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicky Addison came out of the goal and Philip Welch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Piers Floyd scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tod Wilmott, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tod Wilmott stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Keith McGrath's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Upwell's Piers Floyd got a free kick in the 30th minute. Phil Langley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Nicky Addison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piers Floyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keith McGrath in the 42nd minute of play forced Zanzibar FC's goalkeeper Tod Wilmott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tod Wilmott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keith McGrath, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Upwell's Keith McGrath nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tod Wilmott made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The Zanzibar FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Upwell were winning 0-3.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Keith McGrath who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zanzibar FC's Tod Wilmott was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 53 played minutes Zanzibar FC got a freekick which was hit by Matt Poynton. Keith McGrath received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tod Wilmott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Keith McGrath managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Upwell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Keith McGrath was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Keith McGrath might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tod Wilmott. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Keith McGrath ran back to his position shaking his head. If Keith McGrath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piers Floyd came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tod Wilmott could save by the left post. Nicky Addison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Welch in the 72nd minute of play. Dean Goodman charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dean Goodman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 72 played minutes Upwell got a freekick which was hit by Dean Goodman. Nicky Addison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Langley, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 74th minute, Dean Goodman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Phil Langley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keith McGrath blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tod Wilmott having to make a save. In the 82nd minute, Dion Burnham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Eric Rider in the 85th minute really tested Tod Wilmott's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Piers Floyd charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Piers Floyd the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Piers Floyd kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Philip Welch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicky Addison having to interfere. Keith McGrath recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute Philip Welch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicky Addison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Upwell left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zanzibar FC.
