With a little luck, Zanzibar FC's Tod Wilmott got control of the ball when Gary Partridge tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gary Partridge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, googs n moos's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Welch came free, but Stu Dry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Tod Wilmott managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when googs n moos's Gary Partridge fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Rueben Hinshelwood took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tod Wilmott to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of googs n moos booed when Zanzibar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Welch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gary Partridge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tod Wilmott having to interfere. Rueben Hinshelwood recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute Rueben Hinshelwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tod Wilmott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phil Langley made a kick off. Zanzibar FC's Tod Wilmott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rueben Hinshelwood in the 54th minute of play. Gary Partridge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tod Wilmott having to interfere. Tod Wilmott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rueben Hinshelwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gary Partridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 played minutes Zanzibar FC got a freekick which was hit by Matt Poynton. Tod Wilmott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gary Partridge, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. googs n moos's Gary Partridge got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rueben Hinshelwood in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tod Wilmott prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stu Dry was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Phil Langley showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 83 minute of play. Dion Burnham hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When googs n moos's Rueben Hinshelwood in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zanzibar FC's goalie prevented a goal. 90 minutes into the game, googs n moos's Rueben Hinshelwood nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tod Wilmott made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a rather tough play, googs n moos's Drew Penn got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute, Rueben Hinshelwood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. googs n moos fully deserved thier win.
