Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Piers Floyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Francis having to interfere. Bryan Pell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kristopher Mann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicky Addison having to interfere. When Dean Goodman fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Upwell's protests and gave Dean Goodman a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes, North Stars's Dylon Ridgeway shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicky Addison came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in North Stars reached it. After 11 played minutes North Stars got a freekick which was hit by Graham Short. 12 minutes into the match, North Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Keith McGrath came free, but Matthew Francis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute of the match, Keith McGrath tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matthew Francis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Piers Floyd came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Upwell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piers Floyd couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the match, North Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Keith McGrath came free, but Matthew Francis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matthew Francis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Keith McGrath's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, North Stars's Graham Short got a free kick in the 18th minute. Keith McGrath sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matthew Francis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keith McGrath, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Matthew Francis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keith McGrath, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes of play North Stars's Graham Short was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Graham Short hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. With his leg Matthew Francis managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Upwell's Piers Floyd fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Piers Floyd got free with Matthew Francis in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Keith McGrath fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Francis having to interfere. Keith McGrath was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 45th minute. Upwell's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 45th minute, Piers Floyd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matthew Francis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kristopher Mann to make the kick off. Matthew Francis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastien Horseman went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keith McGrath in the 56th minute of play forced North Stars's goalkeeper Matthew Francis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kristopher Mann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. North Stars's Jeff Meehan got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matthew Francis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piers Floyd, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Keith McGrath made a precise shot to the right of Matthew Francis. North Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When Kristopher Mann came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the North Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kristopher Mann couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Piers Floyd in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matthew Francis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, North Stars's Bryan Pell got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 81st minute, Sebastien Horseman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matthew Francis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keith McGrath in the 83rd minute of play. Piers Floyd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matthew Francis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. If Kristopher Mann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Keith McGrath ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matthew Francis was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Piers Floyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Matthew Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keith McGrath recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the North Stars players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Upwell.
