Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bryan Pell took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gary Partridge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Francis having to interfere. Rueben Hinshelwood struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Matthew Francis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for googs n moos. Rueben Hinshelwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Francis having to interfere. If Bryan Pell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-0 became the score in the 11th minute when Kristopher Mann elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Stu Dry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryan Pell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bryan Pell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 19 played minutes googs n moos got a freekick which was hit by Alex Major. If Gary Partridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gary Partridge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 26th match minute, North Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graham Short to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Gary Partridge made a precise shot to the right of Matthew Francis. North Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. North Stars's Matthew Francis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rueben Hinshelwood in the 38th minute of play. Matthew Francis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gary Partridge, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 41 played minutes googs n moos got a freekick which was hit by Alex Major. Rueben Hinshelwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Francis having to interfere. Matthew Francis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gary Partridge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rueben Hinshelwood was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Kristopher Mann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristopher Mann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rueben Hinshelwood in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matthew Francis saved North Stars from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gary Partridge got free with Matthew Francis in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 67 minutes North Stars's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stefan Higgins who took care of the corner kick. Stefan Higgins made a great header on googs n moos's corner, it was just that North Stars's Matthew Francis managed to reach the ball for a save. Rueben Hinshelwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Francis having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Gary Partridge managed to get in a good position for a shot. googs n moos's supporters rose to their feet, but Gary Partridge was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthew Francis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Matthew Francis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bryan Pell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gary Partridge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matthew Francis having to make a save. Rueben Hinshelwood spun around in front of the goal 97 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of North Stars's goal. The North Stars fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. googs n moos were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
