Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) Sly Hamer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-1 became the score in the 9th minute when Sly Hamer elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Alec Hardcastle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sly Hamer in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Scott Keane saved South Ockendon FC from getting behind. Alec Hardcastle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Duncan Sherman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Scott Keane was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Scott Keane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sly Hamer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Duncan Sherman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Scott Keane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 minutes, Vernon Talbot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the South Ockendon FC and the Bailes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bailes FC booed when South Ockendon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vernon Talbot didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as South Ockendon FC's Kris Togwell slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jez Wilkins. That made the score 1-2 after 34 minutes of play. South Ockendon FC's Scott Keane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sly Hamer in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Sly Hamer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bailes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sly Hamer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Duncan Sherman came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Bailes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duncan Sherman couldn't finish the play. Scott Keane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sly Hamer, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sly Hamer made a kick off. Scott Keane was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Duncan Sherman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Duncan Sherman really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Duncan Sherman scored 1-4 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Scott Keane, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rd minute, Duncan Sherman made a precise shot to the right of Scott Keane. South Ockendon FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. After having played for 66 minutes, Kasey Rowling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bailes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kasey Rowling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bailes FC's goalkeeper Jez Wilkins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Bailes FC's Sly Hamer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Scott Keane narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 78 in the game by Duncan Sherman from a close distance when the talented Scott Keane managed to make a qualified save. South Ockendon FC's players were relieved. Duncan Sherman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Bailes FC's Sly Hamer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. In the 89th minute, Kris Togwell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Duncan Sherman got free with Scott Keane in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sly Hamer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Scott Keane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Scott Keane was a little too slow when Sly Hamer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 1-7. The South Ockendon FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bailes FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
