Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Chesney Sykes kicked off to start the match. Keanu Chapman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart Dobson having to interfere. Bart Dobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Edmunds in the 17th minute of play. Frazer Sunderland kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Bart Dobson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keanu Chapman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Spike Kay came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Codnor's Chesney Sykes. But to his dismay, Chesney Sykes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Chesney Sykes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Spike Kay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Malcolm Gould hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd match minute, Thornbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricky Fairs to maneuver through the defense. Casey Wildman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart Dobson having to interfere. A collision led to Thornbury getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Adrian Edmunds hit a great ball. Keanu Chapman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart Dobson having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frazer Sunderland to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Beinn Nelthorpe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Codnor's supporters rose to their feet, but Beinn Nelthorpe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Spike Kay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 52nd minute of the match, Frazer Sunderland tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bart Dobson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Casey Wildman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Bart Dobson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chesney Sykes took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Spike Kay. Spike Kay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Jools Bridge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Spike Kay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Keanu Chapman got free with Bart Dobson in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thornbury's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Codnor had won, even though Thornbury had held more of the ball.
