Jimmy King hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The supporters of Hired Goonz booed when Real Nickos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phil Alsop didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute of the match Frank Gold sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vic Stockdale skillfully saved the ball. Ollie Wring kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Wesley Fuller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Casey Metcalfe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Kyle Patton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stu Edworthy hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. When Hired Goonz's Jerry Wills in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Nickos's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Wesley Fuller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hired Goonz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wesley Fuller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jerry Wills received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Vic Stockdale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Hired Goonz getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Franz Savage hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Fuller in the 46th minute of play forced Real Nickos's goalkeeper Vic Stockdale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerry Wills fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vic Stockdale having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kyle Patton to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Hired Goonz's Wesley Fuller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vic Stockdale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Casey Metcalfe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Danny Barkley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hired Goonz's supporters rose to their feet, but Wesley Fuller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vic Stockdale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wesley Fuller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Wesley Fuller came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Hired Goonz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wesley Fuller couldn't finish the play. Real Nickos's Vic Stockdale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Real Nickos from getting a goal against them. 89 minutes into the match, Real Nickos's goalkeeper Vic Stockdale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerry Wills. In the 92nd minute of the match Conan Warner shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danny Barkley showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Real Nickos supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hired Goonz's performance. The match ended with a win for Hired Goonz.
