Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frazer Sunderland in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zaq Hellen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Thornbury's Frazer Sunderland slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zaq Hellen. That made the score 2-0 after 46 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Frazer Sunderland made the kick off in the second half. When Richard Deighton came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Northallerton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Deighton couldn't finish the play. If Frazer Sunderland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Ramsay was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Northallerton's Joel Holstead got a free kick in the 65th minute. Zaq Hellen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frazer Sunderland in the 66th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Thornbury's Casey Wildman got a free kick in the 67th minute. Northallerton's Zaq Hellen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keanu Chapman in the 71st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricky Fairs during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Northallerton booed when Thornbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position.
