A collision led to Real Nickos getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Phil Alsop hit a great ball. Ricky Myers, 3 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Steven Searle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vic Stockdale having to interfere. Frazer McAleer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vic Stockdale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Casey Metcalfe got free with Charles Coulson in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Berwick Rangers's Charles Coulson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Patton in the 14th minute of play. When Jimmy King fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Nickos's protests and gave Jimmy King a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Jimmy King hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Steven Searle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vic Stockdale having to interfere. If Steven Searle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vic Stockdale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frazer McAleer in the 21st minute of play. Steven Searle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charles Coulson made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Casey Metcalfe sent off a good shot on target. When Carl Bateson fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Berwick Rangers's protests and gave Carl Bateson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, Carl Bateson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute of the match, Kyle Patton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Charles Coulson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Patton in the 32nd minute of play forced Berwick Rangers's goalkeeper Charles Coulson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conan Warner kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Frazer McAleer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Vic Stockdale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Real Nickos getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Jimmy King hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steven Searle in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vic Stockdale saved Real Nickos from getting behind. Charles Coulson made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Casey Metcalfe sent off a good shot on target. During the 47th minute of the match Carl Bateson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Carl Bateson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Berwick Rangers getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Carl Bateson hit a great ball. Casey Metcalfe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Kyle Patton succeeded in the game's 55th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Casey Metcalfe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Charles Coulson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steven Searle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the game, Berwick Rangers's Frazer McAleer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vic Stockdale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. During the 76th minute of the match Jimmy King completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jimmy King a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 77 played minutes Real Nickos got a freekick which was hit by Jimmy King. Frazer McAleer's late challenge caught a Real Nickos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frazer McAleer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Frazer McAleer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Coulson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casey Metcalfe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frazer McAleer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Real Nickos's Vic Stockdale got control of the ball when Frazer McAleer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Casey Metcalfe struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Charles Coulson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Nickos. After having played for 98 minutes, Frazer McAleer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berwick Rangers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frazer McAleer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Real Nickos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Berwick Rangers had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
