Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wesley Fuller started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Hired Goonz's zone, Frazer Sunderland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Barkley came out of the goal and Frazer Sunderland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wesley Fuller might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Spike Kay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wesley Fuller ran back to his position shaking his head. Spike Kay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Wills, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 10 played minutes Thornbury got a freekick which was hit by Casey Wildman. In the 12th minute, Wesley Fuller left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hired Goonz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Keanu Chapman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Danny Barkley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Thornbury's Frazer Sunderland in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hired Goonz's goalie prevented a goal. When Keanu Chapman came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Thornbury fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keanu Chapman couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute Jerry Wills shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spike Kay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Thornbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Edmunds to maneuver through the defense. In the game's 33rd minute Hired Goonz's Frank Gold took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Spike Kay and thus the score was 0-2. 36 minutes into the match, Hired Goonz's Wesley Fuller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Spike Kay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thornbury's Spike Kay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley Fuller in the 38th minute of play. Jerry Wills sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd match minute, Thornbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Westerby to maneuver through the defense. Wesley Fuller scored 0-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Spike Kay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Thornbury players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hired Goonz were winning 0-3.

If Frazer Sunderland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Thornbury! Frank Gold placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After having played for 63 minutes, Jerry Wills managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hired Goonz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerry Wills was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Wesley Fuller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Casey Wildman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danny Barkley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casey Wildman, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 73 played minutes Thornbury got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Westerby. When Casey Wildman fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thornbury's protests and gave Casey Wildman a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 played minutes Thornbury got a freekick which was hit by Casey Wildman. When Wesley Fuller came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Hired Goonz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wesley Fuller couldn't finish the play. Thornbury's Keanu Chapman got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franz Savage kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 85thth minute of the game Casey Wildman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hired Goonz's Danny Barkley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hired Goonz's zone, Keanu Chapman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Barkley came out of the goal and Keanu Chapman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 97 minutes of play, Thornbury's Frazer Sunderland made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danny Barkley was left in no man's land by his defense there!
