Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kris Downing hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Glyn Hoult was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Rupert Illingworth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lewis Norfolk was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Illingworth in the 29th minute of play forced tottanham's goalkeeper Lewis Norfolk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the tottanham defense, Rupert Illingworth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lewis Norfolk. The tottanham fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lewis Norfolk should have stopped the shot. tottanham's Matty Davenport got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Harefield's goalkeeper Mitch Archer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matty Davenport. Matty Davenport sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charles Soussan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lewis Norfolk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rupert Illingworth, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ken Porter to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Ken Porter managed to get in a good position for a shot. tottanham's supporters rose to their feet, but Ken Porter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mitch Archer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Matty Davenport had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ken Porter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitch Archer having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Matty Davenport hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ken Porter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matty Davenport fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitch Archer having to interfere. Kris Downing was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Ken Porter came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the tottanham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ken Porter couldn't finish the play. When tottanham's Ken Porter in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Harefield's goalie prevented a goal. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Harefield's goalkeeper Mitch Archer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mitch Archer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ken Porter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ken Porter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitch Archer having to interfere. Harefield succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though tottanham had controlled the match.
