After 6th play minutes Richie Brooks shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Kev Davies and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 13th minute Will Greenfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kev Davies saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richie Brooks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Ralph Greenwood reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kev Davies. The goal made the score 3-0. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Richie Brooks got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richie Brooks got free with Kev Davies in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Grange-over-Sands City's Kev Davies played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralph Greenwood in the 27th minute of play. Richie Brooks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Kev Davies tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Richie Brooks took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Kev Davies to make any attempt to save it. 38 minutes into the game, Richie Brooks recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kev Davies. Richie Brooks showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. Richie Brookss short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Kev Davies to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralph Greenwood in the 44th minute of play forced Grange-over-Sands City's goalkeeper Kev Davies to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Grange-over-Sands City's Kev Davies got control of the ball when Richie Brooks tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

A collision led to Grange-over-Sands City getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Keith Power hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, AlcoTeam St Neots FC's Richie Brooks sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kev Davies narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 61stth minute of the game Richie Brooks who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grange-over-Sands City's Kev Davies was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Will Greenfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes Grange-over-Sands City got a freekick which was hit by Jimmy Butterfield. After having played for 67 minutes, Richie Brooks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AlcoTeam St Neots FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richie Brooks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leo Tate might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kev Davies. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leo Tate ran back to his position shaking his head. Kev Davies stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richie Brooks's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Richie Brooks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Richie Brooks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ralph Greenwood took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kev Davies. Kev Davies dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. In the 83rd minute of the match Kev Batty shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kev Davies showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Richie Brooks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kev Davies came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by AlcoTeam St Neots FC's Richie Brooks. But to his dismay, Richie Brooks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. After having played for 89 minutes, Leo Tate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AlcoTeam St Neots FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Tate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Richie Brooks might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kev Davies. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Richie Brooks ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute Will Greenfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kev Davies saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kev Davies showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rod Izzard, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After having played for 97 minutes, Richie Brooks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AlcoTeam St Neots FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richie Brooks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. AlcoTeam St Neots FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
