After a defensive mix-up in Cranswick FC's zone, Franz English stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reuben Picker came out of the goal and Franz English tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ash Southgate fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lordshill Skates FC's protests and gave Ash Southgate a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, one of Lordshill Skates FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lordshill Skates FC. Eddy Lovell placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The audience thought a goal was coming when Rio Pitts got free with Olly Grigg in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Rio Pitts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cranswick FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rio Pitts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olly Grigg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Lordshill Skates FC's Kristopher Munroe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reuben Picker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Olly Grigg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonathan Roebuck in the 24th minute. Peter Caton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Olly Grigg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rio Pitts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 29 played minutes Cranswick FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Roebuck. Olly Grigg made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Beinn Downing sent off a good shot on target. Pete Reddington hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Rio Pitts struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Olly Grigg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cranswick FC. Rio Pitts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Olly Grigg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Roebuck received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kristopher Munroe was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Lordshill Skates FC's Kristopher Munroe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reuben Picker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 63rd minute, Kristopher Munroe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Kristopher Munroe took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Reuben Picker to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Lordshill Skates FC booed when Cranswick FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Roebuck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sammy Sweeney was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 73rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 77th minute of the match Lordshill Skates FC got a corner. Cranswick FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sammy Sweeney ran over to the corner to take the kick. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Reuben Picker successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rio Pitts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Olly Grigg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Caton in the 90th minute of play forced Lordshill Skates FC's goalkeeper Olly Grigg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristopher Munroe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reuben Picker having to interfere. The Lordshill Skates FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
