Eric Boyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reuben Picker having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Paignton City's goal looked a bit too open when Rio Pitts came free, but Glyn Locke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute, Rio Pitts made a precise shot to the right of Glyn Locke. Paignton City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Eric Boyd's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Reuben Picker skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Eric Boyd could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Reuben Picker made a huge save. In the 18th minute, John Birch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 19 minutes, Dom Flack managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paignton City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dom Flack was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paignton City's Dom Flack suffered a sore thigh after 21 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ashley Newbury kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Caton in the 25th minute of play forced Paignton City's goalkeeper Glyn Locke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Caton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Glyn Locke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 minutes, Sol Stevens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paignton City and the Cranswick FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Paignton City got a freekick which was hit by Sol Stevens. Reuben Picker made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Eric Boyd sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Caton in the 36th minute of play forced Paignton City's goalkeeper Glyn Locke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grant Longstaffe kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Rio Pitts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The Paignton City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cranswick FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Peter Caton made the kick off in the second half. Paignton City's Glyn Locke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Caton in the 53rd minute of play. Glyn Locke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rio Pitts in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Eric Boyd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paignton City's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Boyd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reuben Picker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute, Beinn Downing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Cranswick FC's zone, Eric Boyd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reuben Picker came out of the goal and Eric Boyd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rio Pitts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 played minutes Cranswick FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Roebuck. In the 70th minute, Calum Charlton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paignton City's goalkeeper Glyn Locke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rio Pitts during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rio Pitts kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Rio Pitts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Glyn Locke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reuben Picker came out of the goal and Howard Knowles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rio Pitts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
