Olly Grigg made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Andre Gayle sent off a good shot on target. Dane Gibbons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pete Reddington, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Andre Gayle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Olly Grigg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pete Reddington during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26thth minute of the game Kristopher Munroe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wallsend AFC's Dane Gibbons was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vince Graydon charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vince Graydon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th minute, Vince Graydon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andre Gayle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Olly Grigg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kirk Hargreaves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olly Grigg having to make a save. Pete Reddington kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kirk Hargreaves in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olly Grigg saved Lordshill Skates FC from getting behind. If Kirk Hargreaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andre Gayles short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Olly Grigg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 48 minutes into the match, Wallsend AFC's Andre Gayle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olly Grigg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kirk Hargreaves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Olly Grigg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vince Graydon in the 54th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kirk Hargreaves in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olly Grigg saved Lordshill Skates FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Lordshill Skates FC's zone, Kirk Hargreaves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olly Grigg came out of the goal and Kirk Hargreaves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dane Gibbons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristopher Munroe in the 75th minute of play. Olly Grigg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kirk Hargreaves in the 78th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Andre Gayle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olly Grigg. Lordshill Skates FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andre Gayle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 91 minutes into the match, Wallsend AFC's Andre Gayle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olly Grigg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Olly Grigg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirk Hargreaves in the 94th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Andre Gayle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wallsend AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
