After some careless play in the Wallsend AFC defense, Rio Pitts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dane Gibbons. The Wallsend AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dane Gibbons should have stopped the shot. When Wallsend AFC's Kirk Hargreaves in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Reuben Picker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kirk Hargreaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Reuben Picker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wallsend AFC's Andre Gayle got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tom Knight hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Rio Pitts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rio Pitts came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Cranswick FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rio Pitts couldn't finish the play. Reuben Picker made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Andre Gayle sent off a good shot on target. Kirk Hargreaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Kirk Hargreaves sped through Cranswick FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reuben Picker.

Reuben Picker came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Wallsend AFC's Andre Gayle. But to his dismay, Andre Gayle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. Rio Pitts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dane Gibbons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Caton in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cranswick FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Wallsend AFC.
