In the 13th minute Jonathon Bentham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Stubbs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul Stubbs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antony Arrowsmith in the 15th minute of the match. Nigel Leslie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Nicoll, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathon Bentham kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Kev Wiltshire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nigel Leslie having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Todd Reid cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Paul Stubbs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Kev Wiltshire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Michael Nicoll got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kev Wiltshire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nigel Leslie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Nicoll in the 45th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Kev Wiltshire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Todd Reid made the kick off in the second half. Norwich's Nigel Leslie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kev Wiltshire in the 53rd minute of play. Antony Arrowsmith could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Paul Stubbs made a huge save. Nigel Leslie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kev Wiltshire in the 59th minute of play. Kev Wiltshire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nigel Leslie having to interfere. After 70 played minutes Stroud got a freekick which was hit by Sammy Maskell. Stroud's Michael Nicoll got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute Kev Wiltshire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nigel Leslie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brett Poynton kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Jonathon Bentham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the game, Kev Wiltshire cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Romeo Wishart kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the game, Ronan Marriott was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Norwich's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stroud the free kick. The supporters of Stroud booed when Norwich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronan Marriott didn't get a good kick on the ball.
