Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) derik fc's Jonathan Marenghi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute of the match Sacha French shot from a long distance. In the 14th minute, Jonathan Marenghi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute, Jonathan Marenghi made a precise shot to the right of Ricky Newton. Sutton Valence City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 25th minute Travis Duxbury shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norman Wakefield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jonathan Marenghi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 98 minutes into the game, Jonathan Marenghi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Ricky Newton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. derik fc's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
