Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Barry Featherstone kicked off to start the match. Rafa’s Quaranteam's Norman Ellis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricky Rawson in the 4th minute of play. If Olly Crawshaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ashley Kear's late challenge caught a Rafa’s Quaranteam's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ashley Kear helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th match minute, Sedlescombe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ashley Kear to maneuver through the defense. After 11 minutes of play Sedlescombe's Ashley Kear was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Norman Ellis came out of the goal and Ricky Rawson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Norman Ellis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Barry Featherstone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Robert Seagrave made a huge save. Norman Ellis came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Sedlescombe's Ricky Rawson. But to his dismay, Ricky Rawson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Loyd Wagstaff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricky Rawson might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norman Ellis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricky Rawson ran back to his position shaking his head. If Olly Crawshaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norman Ellis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Rawson in the 46th minute of play. Norman Ellis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loyd Wagstaff in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricky Rawson was the one to do the kick off. When Loyd Wagstaff fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sedlescombe's protests and gave Loyd Wagstaff a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rafa’s Quaranteam booed when Sedlescombe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loyd Wagstaff didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute, Dominik Le Saux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricky Rawson got free with Norman Ellis in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sedlescombe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sammy Blueman in the 62nd minute. Sammy Blueman made a great header on Sedlescombe's corner, it was just that Rafa’s Quaranteam's Norman Ellis managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 70th minute Denny Parry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norman Ellis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricky Rawson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Norman Ellis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Norman Ellis came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Sedlescombe's Olly Crawshaw. But to his dismay, Olly Crawshaw quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 84th match minute, Sedlescombe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loyd Wagstaff to maneuver through the defense. Mitch Cooper charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mitch Cooper the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 95 minutes into the game, one of Sedlescombe:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Rafa’s Quaranteam a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nat Ingham, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sedlescombe's Robert Seagrave. 2-4. If Barry Featherstone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 101st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Rafa’s Quaranteam fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sedlescombe were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
