Spectators: 5001 (Terracing: 4001, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pat Wicks kicked off to start the match. Niall Caine came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Aldershot's Noel Chilton. But to his dismay, Noel Chilton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Aldershot booed when Costas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralph Horn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matthew Bonds fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niall Caine having to interfere. If Christopher Rothery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthew Bonds sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Noel Chilton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aldershot's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Chilton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niall Caine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Costas FC's Niall Caine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthew Bonds in the 27th minute of play. If Matthew Bonds had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rdth minute of the game Matthew Bonds who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costas FC's Niall Caine was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matthew Bonds sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niall Caine didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matthew Bonds went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Costas FC's Jo Nevin got a free kick in the 47th minute.

After 51 played minutes Costas FC got a freekick which was hit by Gez Hough. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ralph Horn during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The long shot by Graeme Amos in the 55th minute really tested Niall Caine's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Lance Kitchen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Niall Caine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthew Bonds in the 62nd minute of play. Noel Chilton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Niall Caine made a huge save. A collision led to Costas FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ralph Horn hit a great ball. In the 84th match minute, Costas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Horn to maneuver through the defense. Aldershot's Noel Chilton got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matthew Bonds struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Niall Caine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aldershot. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costas FC's goalkeeper Niall Caine, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Niall Caine managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Aldershot's Noel Chilton fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 92 minutes into the match, Aldershot's Matthew Bonds sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Niall Caine narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Niall Caine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vic Almond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Aldershot defense, Christopher Rothery kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerry Cadwallader. The Aldershot fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerry Cadwallader should have stopped the shot. The Costas FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Aldershot were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
