Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625,
Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Vinnie Clapham made the kick off and thus started the match. Alexander Swallow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute, Alexander Swallow made a precise shot to the right of Silvester Bensley. BailesFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. BailesFC's Marcus Ashton got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Graeme Midson charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Graeme Midson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Graeme Midson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 22 minutes, Glen Granger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BailesFC and the eMeSWu players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sam Richardson during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as eMeSWu's Vinnie Clapham slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Silvester Bensley. That made the score 2-0 after 29 minutes of play. BailesFC's Silvester Bensley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Lundy in the 32nd minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, BailesFC's goalkeeper Silvester Bensley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexander Swallow. After a defensive mix-up in BailesFC's zone, Alexander Swallow stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvester Bensley came out of the goal and Alexander Swallow tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute, Alexander Swallow got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. During the 47th minute of the match Graeme Midson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Graeme Midson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 48th minute, Graeme Midson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The wind increased when Marcus Ashton made the kick off in the second half. Alexander Swallow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Silvester Bensley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronan Bourton kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Marcus Ashton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the game, Syd Thompson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. eMeSWu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BailesFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, eMeSWu's Syd Thompson got a free kick in the 61st minute. Jeffrey Marchant could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Trevor Cheswick made a huge save. 66 minutes into the match, Henry Lundy notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of BailesFC's Silvester Bensley. Silvester Bensley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Syd Thompson was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. Harry Holt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Trevor Cheswick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 minutes of play, BailesFC's Jeffrey Marchant made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trevor Cheswick was left in no man's land by his defense there! Trevor Cheswick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Ashton in the 91st minute of play. Silvester Bensley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Swallow, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. In the 96th match minute, BailesFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alastair Fowler to maneuver through the defense.
