Vinnie Clapham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nick Robson having to interfere. In the 14thth minute of the game Ronnie Charles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but eMeSWu's Trevor Cheswick was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stephen Cox might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trevor Cheswick. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stephen Cox ran back to his position shaking his head. Christopher Crossley helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Highbury and Islington got a freekick which was hit by Christopher Crossley. Stephen Cox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Trevor Cheswick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronnie Charles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trevor Cheswick having to interfere. Trevor Cheswick came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Highbury and Islington's Stephen Cox. But to his dismay, Stephen Cox quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Fitz Elding's late challenge caught a Highbury and Islington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fitz Elding helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Fitz Elding hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute Stephen Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trevor Cheswick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trevor Cheswick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephen Cox in the 43rd minute of the match. Christopher Crossley kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, eMeSWu's Dale Paget broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ronnie Charles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alexander Swallow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trevor Cheswick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Ackroyd, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When Vinnie Clapham came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the eMeSWu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinnie Clapham couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute Vinnie Clapham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nick Robson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nick Robson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vinnie Clapham went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. eMeSWu had won after a very even match.
