Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pat Burns kicked off to start the match. Felix Edmunds fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rueben Hanson having to interfere. When British Knights's Pat Burns in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Salford FC's goalie prevented a goal. Pat Burns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Rueben Hanson made a huge save. Pat Burns struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Rueben Hanson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for British Knights. In the 15th minute Shawn Brookes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leigh Bullard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pat Burns in the 16th minute of play forced Salford FC's goalkeeper Rueben Hanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Pat Burns kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rueben Hanson. That made the score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Salford FC's Will Goodman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leigh Bullard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Philip Poate hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Russ Theobald came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Salford FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Russ Theobald couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute, Philip Poate got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salford FC's Rueben Hanson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Salford FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pat Burns in the 42nd minute of play forced Salford FC's goalkeeper Rueben Hanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Salford FC's goalkeeper Rueben Hanson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Philip Poate. In the 47th minute Pat Burns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rueben Hanson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Will Goodman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rueben Hanson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Sanderson in the 60th minute of the match. In the 61stth minute of the game Pat Burns who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salford FC's Rueben Hanson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rueben Rowling kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Barry Rooney managed to get in a good position for a shot. British Knights's supporters rose to their feet, but Barry Rooney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rueben Hanson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of British Knights booed when Salford FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rueben Rowling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pat Burns recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Salford FC's Shawn Brookes got a free kick in the 71st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pat Burns in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rueben Hanson saved Salford FC from getting behind. In the 74th minute, Russ Theobald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Felix Edmunds had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rueben Hanson. Salford FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Edmunds was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Pat Burns took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rueben Hanson. Rueben Hanson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. The audience was convinced that Philip Poate's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rueben Hanson was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In the 88th minute, Pat Burns left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The British Knights fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pat Burns in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rueben Hanson saved Salford FC from getting behind. When Ronan Jordan fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salford FC's protests and gave Ronan Jordan a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes Salford FC got a freekick which was hit by Ronan Jordan. If Pat Burns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. British Knights had played much better football throughout.
