Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Drew Thomas got the match started through his kick off. Andre Forrest showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Sargent, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 11 minutes in the game, Drew Thomas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Crispin Hayward having to interfere. Austin Cookes short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Crispin Hayward to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 21st minute, Spike Hellen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Austin Cooke came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Deptford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Austin Cooke couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute Victor Sargent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andre Forrest saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Deptford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rupert Armitstead to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Deptford's zone, Jez Locke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andre Forrest came out of the goal and Jez Locke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 30 minutes, Rupert Armitstead mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deptford and the STAC XI players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Deptford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rupert Armitstead to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Deptford booed when STAC XI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Goodwin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Crispin Hayward was a little too slow when Drew Thomas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Deptford's zone, Victor Sargent stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andre Forrest came out of the goal and Victor Sargent tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Jez Locke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. STAC XI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jez Locke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Sargent was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Drew Thomas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 55 played minutes STAC XI got a freekick which was hit by Calum Button. Joey Gallacher's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Crispin Hayward on his right side and into the goal. 56 minutes into the game it was 3-1. The supporters of STAC XI booed when Deptford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Micheal Downs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Austin Cooke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Crispin Hayward tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Crispin Hayward stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Drew Thomas's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, STAC XI's Andre Thompson got a free kick in the 65th minute. Crispin Hayward came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Deptford's Austin Cooke. But to his dismay, Austin Cooke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Philip Goodwin kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Austin Cooke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deptford's supporters rose to their feet, but Austin Cooke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Crispin Hayward breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jez Locke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Sargent kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Deptford's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
